The Secretary of State is consideing calling in Hyde Group’s plans for a redevelopment of the former Post Office site in Harrow-on-the-Hill town centre.
Greg Clark has been asked by a third party to call in the consented 300-home plan for the site next to the station, following concerns raised by local MP Bob Blackman over the height of the scheme – at 19 storeys.
A Harrow Council spokesperson said: “On 26th August a representative of the National Planning Casework Unit contacted Harrow Council officers to advise that the Secretary of State had received a third party request that he call-in the application for his own determination. The representative advised that the Secretary of State is considering whether or not call-in the application. Council officers are, of course, co-operating fully with the National Planning Casework Unit in connection with the matter”.
