Harrow Town Centre and North Harrow shopping district have launched “TownTalk” websites to promote usage.
The council says Harrow TownTalk and North Harrow TownTalk bring together all the shops, bars, restaurants and businesses in a virtual town centre website for each area, so that residents and visitors can find whatever they need.
Shoppers can find special offers and also leave comments in a ‘reviews’ section to let others know how good the local shops are.
The websites will carry details of local attractions and anyone with events or news can add it directly, giving the entire community the opportunity to share information.
Cllr Keith Ferry, portfolio holder for planning and economic development on Harrow Council, said: “Keeping residents up to date with all the latest events, offers and news from Harrow Town Centre and North Harrow is one of the ways we can support local traders, and increase footfall.
“The new websites are a great way for traders to showcase what is on offer and residents can get involved too, reviewing local businesses or posting information about upcoming events.”
