Harrow Council used the occasion of its ‘Harrow means business’ event to launch two new initiatives to support business, the “Business Regulatory Toolkit” and the “How to Start a Business Guide”.
The Toolkit will help businesses understand the regulations and standards they need to work to, while the ‘How to Start a Business Guide’ has been developed with experienced Harrow businessmen and women to support new entrepreneurs.
The guide talks entrepreneurs through the business process, from first steps and business planning to raising finance and marketing a business idea. Each chapter is told by a local business person and contains advice that will genuinely help entrepreneurs start up their own business.
Harrow Council Portfolio Holder for Planning and Regeneration, Cllr Keith Ferry, said: “We are doing everything we can to stimulate the local economy by providing the guidance to budding entrepreneurs to take that first step and start-up their own businesses.”
