The Public Consultation condustec by LB Harrow has produced little consensus about where the focus for development in the Borough should be.
Harrow Council has been consulting on the Core Strategy, asking residents whether they would prefer development to be focused in Harrow Town Centre, Wealdstone, Rayners Lane and South Harrow(option one), or spread out across the borough (option two).
The Council told the Harrow Times that an early assessment revealed no clear preference. A full report is due to be presented to councillors at a meeting on Monday, September 22.
The choice of strategy will impact the proposed Civic Centre changes, the Council has said the current site of the civic centre, in Station Road, is likely to be redeveloped during the next five years. Plans have not yet been drawn up and would have to be in line with the aims of the new Core Strategy.
