LB Hammersmith & Fulham have opened a public consultation on their parks improvement plans.
Improvements to Hammersmith and Fulham’s 231 hectares of public open space will be the subject of a new strategy, prepared with the help of a major consultation exercise opened today.
An earlier consultation has produced plans for sprucing up Bishops Park and the grounds of Fulham Palace, which have been backed to the tune of £2 million by the council.
"We are lucky to have some of the most beautiful parks and open spaces in London here in Hammersmith & Fulham" said Cllr Paul Bristow, Cabinet Member for Resident Services, "and we are asking residents what needs to be done to improve them."
The consultation begins with 10,000 households getting a questionnaire this month. 80ha of the open space is taken up by Wormwood Scrubs (pictured).
