Greenford adds market

Ealing Council is organising a new monthly community market in Greenford, with the first taking place this month.

Stalls will sell jewellery, clothes, crafts and food at Greenford Town Centre along Ruislip Road and The Broadway. It is planned to be held on the last Saturday of every month.

The plan is that each month the market will have a slightly different theme. The market was started following a pilot market held in 2012, when feedback suggested that a regular community-led market could work well and benefit the town.

Councillor Julian Bell, leader of Ealing Council, said: “It’s great to already see the community getting behind the market. This is an opportunity for local residents, schools, community groups and local businesses to all take part by sharing and showing their skills.”
