Formal Investments plans to create a new park on a gravel extraction site have been refused.
The plan was to extract 3m cubic metres of gravel from Rectory Farm, in Cranford, bordering Bath Road and The Parkway, over a period of 15-20 years, while creating a 110-acre park above.
The plans were refused as “inappropriate development” of green belt land, because of the large number of vehicle movements that would be involved.
