A GLA report has said the Earls Court regeneration is not compliant with the London Plan and needs further discussion.
The report, picked up by The Guardian and others, says the development, in particular the housing element – where the West Kensington and Gibbs Green estates would be demolished and reprovided alongside 5,000 new homes – needs “further information and discussion regarding all aspects of the affordable housing provision in order to ensure that this would comply with the London Plan”.
Capital & Counties, the master developer on the scheme, said that the GLA Report, “as is usual for a Stage 1 report, identifies areas they would like us to look at again. We are happy to do so.”
They said they will shortly be submitting revisions to the masterplan which will take the comments of the GLA into account, and that they will be consulted on in the new year.
