Sir Simon Milton resigns as Westminster Councillor, while David Lunts moves tothe Housing and Communities Agency.
GLA Executive Director of Policy & Partnerships, David Lunts (pictured) will be taking up the new position of London Director of the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA). For the past three and a half years, among his many responsibilities he has advised the former Mayor in all aspects of housing, planning and regeneration and advised the new Mayor during the transition period since the election.
At the HCA David will lead its programme for housing and regeneration in the capital – including responsibility for delivering the Mayor’s target of 50,000 affordable homes by 2011 – and act as its ambassador as part of the HCA senior management team.
The Mayor said: "I wish David all the best at the HCA which is getting its hands on a wealth of experience of London’s housing and regeneration needs. Whilst he is leaving the GLA I am reassured that he will continue to work closely with us as we build a better life for Londoners and deliver the thousands of new homes and regenerate some of the capital’s poorest areas which are both desperately needed."
