Quintain has appointed Ben Giddens Development Director at Wembley.
Giddens joined Quintain in 2006 as Senior Development Manager and has increasingly been taking on more responsibility at the Wembley scheme. As Development Director, Giddens is now responsible for managing Quintain’s 85 acre development programme in North West London, which is already well underway and will include 5,500 new homes and London’s only Designer Outlet.
Over the last year, he led the successful outline planning application to secure permission for the next phase of development at the site, which will comprise 1.7million sq ft and deliver up to 1,300 more homes, 300,000 sq ft of retail, and student and hotel accommodation.
Giddens is part of Quintain’s newly created operating board, working with James Saunders, Chief Operating Officer; Rajesh Shah, Transactions Director; and David Crump, Construction Director.
The operating board will work closely with the Quintain executive directors, Maxwell James, Rebecca Worthington, Richard Stearn and Nigel Kempner, to ensure that delivery maximises value for shareholders.
Maxwell James, Chief Executive of Quintain said: “Ben Giddens was instrumental in delivering the outline planning permission for the next phase and we are delighted that he has agreed to accept the responsibilities of Development Director at this important and exciting time for the project.”
