Henley Homes has completed on the sale of Brent House, the former Brent Council office building, to Genesis.
The £76 million sale to the housing association includes the building of a new mixed-use development, which will be delivered by the construction arm of Henley Homes, Reis Construct.
The 1.9 acre site on Wembley High Road was acquired by Henley Homes in late 2014. They were granted consent for a 248 home development, with around 30% affordable, together with 6,114 sq.ft of retail and public space.
The existing 1960s office building will be demolished and replaced by two 7-10 storey brickwork clad blocks, designed by Davy Smith Architects. Works are scheduled to commence in 2017.
