Ealing Council has released a report recommending how Ealing should be developed int he future.
Urban design consultants Tibbalds spent a year consulting with residents in and around the town before coming up with its recommendations, which include bigger retail units to increase quality, developing the character of different areas including West Ealing, and using the planned Green Man Lane Estate redevelopment to attract new investment.
The Arcadia and Dickens Yard developments in Ealing town centre are treated in the report as if approved.
Other ideas in the report included four covered tennis courts on top of the Springbridge Road multi-storey car park and improved street furniture, although there is no mention of a West Ealing Crossrail station.
The Council will use the report to help frame the local development framework by the end of 2010.
