Hammersmith & Fulham Council has announced a deal for free wifi across its town centres.
The wifi – “_Free HF WiFi” for anyone currently wandering through Hammersmith – will provide 30 minutes of free Wi-Fi a day, and allow users to buy more time on a pay-as-you go basis. There is no time limit for accessing services on the council’s website.
It is provided by telecoms company Arqiva, which has paid the council to install its network on the borough’s lampposts and will share any income with the council.
“We hope residents and visitors will find the new service useful when they need a quick bit of information from the internet while out and about in the borough,” said Cllr Ben Coleman, H&F Cabinet Member for Commercial Revenue and Resident Satisfaction.
The free Wi-Fi is available along Askew Road, Fulham Road, Fulham Palace Road, Fulham Broadway, Fulham High Street, Goldhawk Road, Hammersmith Road, King Street, Lillie Road, North End Road, Shepherds Bush Green, Uxbridge Road, and in a number of other locations.
