First permission for South Acton

The South Acton estate regeneration has received its first permission.

The regeneration of the massive estate is being undertaken by London & Quadrant and Countryside, and they have now been granted their first permission for 167 homes of the 2,600 planned. Work is expected to start in 2011.

The plans, designed by Alison Brooks Architects, involve building on a vacant site formerly occupied by Bollo Court and Kipling Tower. The plans include the construction of a three-to-nine storey building containing 159 flats, and 8 four-bedroom houses
