The 18 storey, mixed use project on the Victoria Road site forms the first major residential development within Ealing Council’s Park Royal Southern Gateway Masterplan, and has a density of 1790 habitable rooms per hectare.
The scheme will provide 151 new homes, designed to meet with Level 4 of the Code for Sustainable Homes, together with flexible retail units on the ground floor. The street face has been set back to visually widen the thoroughfare and create an active street frontage which enhances natural surveillance, say the architects.
Falling within the GLA’s Park Royal Opportunity Area, the masterplan also includes the creation of new amenity spaces for residents and the existing community, with a significant financial contribution enabling the Council’s long-held vision for a greener public space at North Acton tube station to be realised.
Construction costs are anticipated to be in the region of £20m.
