First Kindred Homes project, Eden House, nears completion

Eden House, the first development from Kindred Homes to complete, has been celebrated with a topping out ceremony.

A joint venture between EcoWorld London and Lampton360, a wholly owned subsidiary of London Borough of Hounslow, Kindred Homes will bring homes for rent and for sale to Hounslow. Eden House, due for completion in August 2019, will offer a total of 75 units to rent or buy through shared ownership.

Designed by architects Archadia, every home will have its own balcony, and benefit from shared access to a garden. The scheme will also provide and circa 4,000sq ft of community space.

The Lampton360 portfolio has plans to secure 1,500 new homes on under-utilised Council-owned land across the borough by 2022. The partnership was brought about in 2017 to unlock the value of Hounslow’s land assets, and accelerate housebuilding. At least 40% of all the homes provided in this JV will be affordable.

EcoWorld London was appointed as Development Manager for the project. A further project at Acton Lodge in Brentford and Two Bridges in Bedfont to deliver a total of 49 units is currently being finalised.

Robin Goodlet, Managing Director of EcoWorld London Development Company, said, “We are delighted to have reached this landmark moment through working with Lampton360 and we look forward to the delivery of further homes through this JV”.

Cllr Steve Curran, Lead of Hounslow Council added, “With the completion of Eden House, we are happy to bring 75 much-needed new homes to the community, just the first in a collection of new developments that will bring over a thousand new council homes to Hounslow.”
