Plans for the scheme, which is situated in the heart of Wembley town centre, include an 86-bedroom, 35,000 sq ft Travelodge hotel with a bar/restaurant, 29,000 sq ft of additional retail space, 38 private apartments and an improved entrance to Wembley Central’s tube and train station. It will be located above and adjacent to the station overlooking the public square on Wembley High Road.
Work is expected to start on site this summer. When complete, the total Wembley Central development will provide 155,000 sq ft of retail and leisure space. Current tenants include TK Maxx, Co-operative Food, Iceland and Everything Everywhere.
Earlier phases of the scheme have delivered a new public square; 23,000 sq ft of office space at Ramsey House; Central Apartments, a development of 155 private apartments of which only five are still available; and 85 affordable homes.
