Falcon site gets permission

Queens Park smlBrent Council have approved their own plans for a redevelopment of the Falcon Pub site in South Kilburn, part of the massive South Kilburn Estate regeneration.

The scheme, designed by Maccreanor Lavington, involves the demolition of the pub, as well as the Keniston Press, Premier House, and Cullen House buildings, in order to build a nine storey building containing 137 new homes along with new public space, 1270 sqm of commercial space and 959 sqm of office space for use by Transport for London.

It is part of the Queens Park Station Environs element of the regeneration plan (pictured).

The plans include the stopping up of the gyratory system around the present pub site, and the introduction of a new signalled junction at Kilburn Lane and Salusbury Road/Carlton Vale.
