English Heritage dives in to Dollis Hill House

English Heritage has said it will not support the council’s decision to demolish Dollis Hill House.

LB Brent had decided to knock down the Grade II listed regency villa in Gladstone Park, presently in a derelict condition, and have applied to the Government Office for London for permission.

Plans to transform the mansion into a tea-room and restaurant proved unfeasible, and Boris Johnson announced he would not pledge any money to its proposed generation.

Now English Heritage has written to the Council saying statutory requirements have not been met and says the Council needs find an alternative solution, reports the Harrow Observer.
