Eco-house completed in Harrow

Harrow Council has put its first tenants into a “fully fitted green energy home”.

The Harrow Observer reports on the home in Stanmore which is a 1960s property refitted with many energy-efficient improvements – solar panels, added loft insulation, re-insulated cavity walls and triple glazing, rain water harvesting and an air handling unit.

The refitted home is a result of joint working by Kier and Gifford, who were selected by the Technology Strategy Board to apply its eco-retrofit proposals to Tintagel Drive in Harrow with the support of Harrow Council.
