Ealing puts £500,000 into shopping parade improvements

LB Ealing is investing £500,ooo in cleaning up smaller shopping parades around the borough.

The improvements, which inlcude new street benches, bins and cycling facilities, improving street signs and pedestrian access for Dudley Road Southall, around Featherstone Road Health Clinic, Greenford Road in Greenford, Ruislip Road in Greenford, Southfield Road in South Acton and the area outside Greenford station.

Councillor Bassam Mahfouz, cabinet member for transport and environment, told the Ealing Gazette: “We’re continuing to make the improvements to secondary shopping parades at a time when businesses are struggling and to make them more attractive to get people shopping there.”
