Ealing Council has already received 72 pledges to create new apprenticeships from 36 businesses its 2016 100 in 100 campaign.
Ealing’s 100 in 100 runs from September to December and aims to create 100 pledges for apprenticeship job vacancies in 100 days. This is the fourth year that the council has run the campaign and apprenticeships have been created in a variety of sectors, including hospitality, business administration, accountancy and childcare.
Councillor Peter Mason, cabinet member for prosperity, skills, employment and transformation, said: “For the fourth year in a row, we are on course to exceed our target of 100 apprenticeship pledges proving once again how valuable these placements are to both businesses and young people. They are a great way to bring fresh, new talent in to an organisation and our award-winning apprenticeship team is on hand to help every step of the way. “
