Ealing Council is offering cut-price parking rates at Southall Market car park to support local traders while works to improve the area are finished off.
During the promotion drivers will be able to park for 80p an hour instead of the usual £1.50, Monday to Friday. The price is also being cut at the weekend with shoppers able to stay for just £1.50 an hour, instead of the usual £2.
The promotion will run from the end of September in to the New Year.
Councillor Bassam Mahfouz, cabinet member for transport and environment said: “These discounted rates are designed especially to encourage shoppers into the area. The ongoing improvements to the Southall Boulevard are on schedule and will make a huge difference to Southall’s appeal, but, while the works are taking place, I know that local businesses will appreciate this incentive to encourage more people into the area.”
