Ealing look to buy petrol station

LB Ealing are in negotiations to buy  the petrol station next to North Acton Station, as part of regeneration plans for the area.

Pat Hayes, executive director of regeneration and housing, told the Ealing Gazette that negotiations are under way to buy the Esso petrol station, forcing a sale, if necessary, to enable improvements to the front of North Acton station, which is at the southern gateway to Park Royal.

A new bus and pedestrian link along the Chiltern line could also be created to connect North Acton to the planned rail depot at Old Oak Common.

North Acton, and its opportunity area planning framework (OAPF) is the subject of a session at the Place West London Conference on October 11, 2011. See the full programme.
