Ealing and Mastcraft consult on town hall plans

Ealing Council, working with hotel developers Mastcraft, are consulting on proposals for Ealing town hall.

The proposals would redevelop the town hall into a boutique hotel with new conferencing, banqueting and hospitality facilities, restaurants, bars and a health and fitness centre alongside refurbished civic function facilities for ongoing use by the council.

The council chose Mastcraft as preferred development partner in 2016. They aim to ensure that the neo-gothic building will continue to be at the heart of the borough’s civic life.

The Victoria Hall and Council Chamber would be preserved with the council retaining the east wing of the building for civic use and marriage ceremonies with part of the west wing turned into a boutique hotel.

At the time, the council hoped that the new look town hall and hotel could be reopened in early 2019.

Mastcraft developed the Courthouse Hotel in Shoreditch which was a Grade II listed magistrates court.
