Durkan wins in Harrow

Durkan has been awarded the main contract for Metropolitan Housing Trust’s £25m development at Strongbridge Close.

Durkan beat off Galliford Try and Countryside to win the contract, but will build a reduced number of units – the scheme was originally for over 250 homes, but will now be around 160.

The original 235 flat,24 house scheme has become one for 167 flats, due to “market conditions”. This will include associated car parking, infrastructure, access road, sewer system, enabling works and landscaping.
