Hounslow Council are consulting on improvements to Dukes Meadows, on its future as a major sports and recreation site.
The consultation covers proposed public realm improvements as well as upgrades to the sporting facilities.
Dukes Meadows has an array of formal and informal leisure and recreational facilities, and welcomes an estimated one million visits per year. Following an initial phase of consultation in autumn 2016, Hounslow Council is proposing a number of improvements to the site.
The proposals will also involve an upgrade of access routes, improvements to the Thames path, including localised widening and a proposed footbridge, and an upgrade of sporting facilities.
Councillor Steve Curran, Leader of Hounslow Council, said “We had a very positive response about our vision for Dukes Meadows during the last consultation that took place between November 2016 and January 2017.
“During the last eight months, we have been working on feasibility and detailed plans.
“Our plans will transform Dukes Meadows into a great place for everyone to enjoy. They will unlock the River Thames as one of our great assets for Hounslow and will encourage more people to participate in sport and physical activity.”
The six-week consultation period will run from Monday 16 October to Monday 27 November, 2017.
