Dorsett reveal new Walkabout plans

Dorsett Hospitality International have released new plans for the former Walkabout pub site in Shepherds Bush.

Previous plans for a 16-storey aparthotel were refused by Hammersmith & Fulham Council in 2015. The new plans are for an eight storey building containing approximately 50 serviced apartments and a cafe, with an underground single-screen cinema and bar. The scheme would also retain the main parts of the existing building including the facade.

Dorsett own and operate the very successful Dorsett Shepherds Bush Hotel next door to the Walkabout site in the Grade II-listed Pavilion.

The new design will be lower at the front than previously planned, while the hotel’s architects Flanagan Lawrence are also proposing to bank the building away from residents in Pennard Road.

A spokesman for Dorsett said they are planning more consultation work with local residents before the plans are submitted to the council.
