Brent Council has dispensed with the Director of Housing position, merging its resposibilities with the regeneration directorate.
The proposal to remove the position of Director of Housing and Community Care was approved by the council this week, following the retirement of the postholder in April. Andy Donald, the director of regeneration and major projects, now picks up responsibility for all housing matters, including the ALMO Brent Housing Partnership, while Community care goes to a new position in adult social services.
