Dickens Yard scaled back

Dickensyrdsquare_315 St George are reported to have scaled down the height of two of the tall blocks in their Dickens yard scheme.

According to the Ealing Times, the pruning, reminiscnet of that on the nearby Glenkerrin Arcadia scheme, is in response to heavy criticism of the plans from local pressure group Save Ealing’s Centre, an amalgamation of more than 20 community groups.

A new consultation has been opened by LB Ealing following the changed submission, which also includes additional affordable three-bed homes, and the shared-ownership properties requested by the Borough. It will run until October 13. The plans will be considered by the council’s planning committee on November 5.
