Dickens Yard gets go ahead

Dickens yard redline LB Ealing has approved St George's Dickens Yard 700 unit residential-led mixed-use development.

The Ealing Times reports that only two councillors on the eight strong Planning Committee voted against the plans, while around 100 local residents watched a video link of the proceedings.

The plans now have to pass through Mayor of London Boris Johnson's office before any building work can begin.

The proposals should bring around 450 new permanent jobs to the town centre.
