Denham mulls Brent Cross inquiry

The Brent Cross Cicklewood regeneration plan may be called in by the Secretary of State.

The government has said it may call an inquiry into the £4.5 billion Brent Cross and Cricklewood scheme shortly after it gained Mayoral approval. John Denham, secretary of state for communities and local government, will consider whether to hold a public inquiry into the scheme.

A spokesperson for the Department for Communities and Local Government (CLG) told the AJ:  We recognise there have been strong views expressed about this complex proposal. We will carefully consider the case and decide whether a public inquiry is needed
