Davies gives estuary six months

Sit Howard Davies has said his commission will spend six months evaluating the idea of an airport in the Thames Estuary to make his recommendation on aviation capacity expansion harder to challenge.

The Evening Standard reports his speech at RunwaysUK, a conference in London. He said he would conduct the six month study in the hope his final report would  “not be vulnerable to challenge”.

He also said he was confident his report would not be ignored by politicians when it is published after the general election.
