Curve recommended for refusal

The latest plans for the Chiswick Roundabout site, known as the Curve, have been recommended for refusal.

The amended plans by Starbones for 327 new homes also include some retail and office space, and advertising screens facing the M4.

The officer’s report suggests the buildings will harm the area, including Kew Gardens, as well as containing insufficient affordable housing, and says that the design is not of a high enough quality.

The site was previously the subject of unsuccessful plans for The Octopus, a commercial building clad in advertising screens.
