Heathrow’s plan for works to enable departures over Cranford has been refused.
The plans would have meant more noise respite for people west of the northern runway through moving some flights to take off over Cranford, something which has not happened due to a sixty year old ‘gentlemen’s agreement’.
The airport had applied for permission to create new taxi-ways and carry out other ground work.
Heathrow Airport told the Uxbridge Gazette they were disappointed, and that their plans would have meant noise being more evenly distributed. The Airport my appeal.
