The plans for a part nine/part eleven storey building containing a 6,774 sqm 10 screen cinema, shops and homes, with associated open space, and parking are the subject of a ‘reserved matters’ planning application.
The development is on the land bounded by Stadium Way, Royal Route and new Wembley Park Boulevard (the site of the former Exhibition Halls).
The “circuit” of the proposed new designer outlet with a floor space of 7,441 sqm is also proposed on the lower levels of the north and west sides of plot W07, with corresponding parts featured on lower levels other plots.
The W07 application also details plans for 251 residential units (99 of which will be "affordable"), food and drink floorspace, and residential basement parking for 115 cars.
Chris Walker, Director of Planning at Brent Council, says: "The plans for a multi screen cinema and the designer outlet featured in this application will deliver the key leisure and first of many retail elements from Quintain’s Stage 1 regeneration plans for Wembley for residents and the thousands of visitors coming to events at Wembley Stadium and Wembley Arena."
