A new community market will run for the second time in Ruislip after a successful debut in June.
The Duck Pond Market which is held at in the grounds of Harrow Museum, in Pinner View, was set up by residents. All the 50 stalls are run by small independent businesses who provide produce from in and around the borough.
There’s entertainment for children in a petting farm, and live music for for the grown ups. Harrow Museum is open through the weekend when the market is on.
Markets have been shown to have powerful community and regeneration benefits – Borough Market near London Bridge has made a sigificant difference to that part of town.
