A community group has handed in a bid for an arts centre in Acton’s Old Library building.
Ealing Council set a deadline of the end of September for bids for the building, that they own, but which they no longer need.
The group’s bid would see an arts centre open in the building, together with a café and restaurant area, hang out space, a 120-capacity theatre and a book shop, with a a dance studio, music venue, and other studios on the first floor, and a cinema complex on the second floor.
The group would need to raise around £5m. Ealing Council will decide on the bid in November.
