Comer Homes have more problems on their planned Harefield development, as residents bid to make the site a village green.
Comer plan an 80 home development on a site in Harefield Village known as the Medi Parc. The site in Hill End Road has lain empty for decades, and residents now see it as a local amenity, as they plan to try to register it as a public green.
To register a piece of land as a village green it must meet three key criteria, reports the Uxbridge Gazette, for the last 20 years it must have been possible to gain access, without force, without secrecy, and without having to gain permission. It must also be shown that the land has been used for activities- such as dog walking, kite flying, and jogging.
