Clearview Swan plans approved

Clearview Homes have had plans to redevelop the former Swan pub in Harefield approved.

Previous plans had been refused, but Clearview resubmitted scaled down plans – with four two-bed and two one-bed flats, as opposed to six larger flats. They have also moved the parking to the rear of the site and agreed to demount the swan crest prior to demolition, and reinstall it on the new building.

These new plans have now been approved.

The pub is in Harefield Village Conservation Area and the developer required additional consent to build in the protected zone. This was something the council originally objected to in principle, but a planning inspector had disagreed on this point and officers raised no such concerns over the second planning application.
