Ealing Civic Society opens up this year’s round, won last year by Northfields Library and Northala Park (pictured). This is the 20th year for the Ealing Civic Society 20th annual awards, which look to reward developments that improve Ealing and preserve the best of the Borough.
This year’s renewal will, for the first time, include a ‘worst development’ category.
Nominations will be short-listed and then judged by a panel of architects, planners and members of the public. Winners get a “much coveted” plaque, or a wooden spoon for the most disliked development.
The developments must have been built within the past two years and been in use for the past six months. The nomination form is available on the Societies’ website. Entries must be received by October 1.
