Citygrove set for Arla refusal

Citygrove’s plans for a retail led redevelopment of the Arla Foods site in South Ruislip have been recommended for refusal.

The plans for the former dairy site vacant for nearly a decade would provide a Cineworld cinema, an Asda supermarket, restaurants, cafes, shops and 100 new homes. Citygrove say they would generate 600 jobs. The plans go to committee this month.

Officers have recommended refusal on the grounds of traffic congestion, the scale of the development, air quality, impact on retail provision and flooding at the site.
