Citygrove refused in Ruislip

Citygrove’s plans for a mixed use development led by an Asda store in South Ruislip have been refused.

Citygrove say the plans would have created 650 jobs.

South Ruislip Residents’ Association had supported the plans for the former Arla Foods site on Victoria Road, which has been unused since 2005,¬†but councillors went with the officer’s recommendation for refusal. Concerns were raised about the size of the Asda, and about impact on traffic.

Citygrove told the Uxbridge Gazette they would submit a revised application with a smaller store in due course.
