Hammersmith and Fulham council have agreed to use compulsory purchase powers to unblock the development of Chelsea FCs new stadium.
A resident has taken out an njunction over rights of light, stopping the scheme to create a new 60000 seat Stamford Bridge in its tracks.
The council has now agreed to compulsorily purchase the land – owned by Network Rail and Transport for London – in order to engage section 203 of the Housing and Planning Act 2016, which would override the right to light principle.
