Capital & Counties is reported to be considering handing back the West Kensington and Gibbs Green Estates to Hammersmith & Fulham Council.
The Sunday Times reports that Capco is “in talks” to return the two estates to the Council. They originally acquired them from the previous Conservative administration through a conditional land sale agreement, and have an outline consent to redevelop both estates and the surrounding area in a Sir Terry Farrel masterplan.
They discussed amending the plans, but found the Labour council unwilling to oblige as long as the estates were still part of the development area.
