LB Hounslow have approved Linden Homes’ plans for the Campion House site at the fourth time of asking.
The fourth proposal to redevelop the site in Thornbury Road, Isleworth, involves building 82 units on the site, 15 per cent of which will be affordable. Linden will also provide £1.58m for further affordable housing to be built off-site, bringing the total to a 30 per cent.
The 82 homes are mainly family houses with a small number of flats, and will be built on the conservation area site, with the creation of new open space and the retention and conversion of Campion House and Tigar Hall.
The successful application was the fourth to be submitted to the council after the first, which proposed 272 homes to be built, and the second, proposing a slightly less 239 units, were thrown out by councillors.
While the third was also rejected by councillors, the Government planning inspectorate granted permission for 154 homes on appeal last year, but Linden decided to come up with an amended application.
