BSkyB is reported to be looking at a sale and leaseback of its Osterley studios and offices.
The Times reports that the broadcaster has instructed BNP Paribas to carry out a market testing exercise on minimum 25 year sale and leaseback.
The new complex, designed by Arup and built by development partner Stanhope, hosts all BSkyB production and broadcast operations and is home to 8,400 staff. BSkyB say it is one of the World’s greenest TV studios.
BSkyB hopes to redevelop the rest of the Osterley site to create a media campus, which has outline consent from Hounslow Council for the demolition of several buildings and the construction onf further facilities which could ultimately accomodate 12,000 staff.
