Brunel Lecture Series

Brunel University have three seminal speakers for their 2014 Public Lecture Series, and are extending an invitation to LookWest readers to attend.

The first features Professor Lynne Segal on 13th October addressing The Silver Tsunami: Fears and Fallacies surrounding Ageing.

Nazir Afzal OBE will also speak on 1st December on Changing the Culture: A Prosecutor’s Role.

Also, starting next week is The State We’re In Now: An Anatomy of Britain Today. 20 years on from the publication of Will Hutton’s book, The State We’re In looks at the state of Britain today. First seminar’s speakers are Will Self and Baroness Helena Kennedy QC who will examine whether parliament operates an elective dictatorship. There is quite a line-up of high-profile speakers, including Will Hutton himself.
