Phase two at Brentford Lock West has made it into the shortlist for the London RIBA Awards 2019 – rubbing shoulders with the likes of the BBC Television Centre and the Royal Opera House.
83 projects across London have been shortlisted for these prestigious awards, with the finalists due to be announced in May this year.
Chalico Walk, the first collection of homes to be delivered as part of phase two here, already secured a London RIBA Award in 2018 for its architecture. This time, the entire collection of homes in phase two has been shortlisted, to include Keelson Gardens. Arranged around a landscaped courtyard, Keelson Gardens is a mix of one, two and three-bedroom apartments, duplex apartments, penthouses and townhouses.
The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) awards are highly regarded across the industry, recognising buildings throughout the UK that have made a significant contribution to architecture. Winners of the London RIBA Award in May will then go on to be entered as finalists into the RIBA National Awards, which will be announced later in 2019.
James Stockdale, Development Manager, Brentford Lock West, said: “The architecture across the development pays careful attention to the site’s history and its waterside location and has been widely celebrated. The second phase of homes here have been designed to complement the earlier phase and provide our residents with truly inspiring and sociable places to live. In addition to well thought out interior spaces, carefully planned courtyards encourage a real sense of community here, while generous balconies and terraces offer the opportunity to bring the outside in. We have a limited number of apartments and townhouses still available here and I would encourage anyone looking for a home in the area to come along and view the homes we have on offer.”
