Brent’s ‘Wasted Space’ to be filled with Art

LB Brent is launching a programme using ‘wasted spaces’ for art exhibitions.

In partnership with artist organisation Wasted Spaces, Brent is looking to produce an “artistic trail”┬áleading from Wembley Park station to Wembley Central station from Saturday 13 February.

The project aims to revitalise Wembley by using empty shop fronts, disused buildings and wasted spaces to offer free exhibition space for emerging artists.

The trail will feature 3D installations, video projections and interactive art. The project encourages landlords with empty spaces to allow their site to be used for temporary art exhibitions before their new tenants arrive.

First up will be a 50 meter outdoor video installation projected on the wall opposite the Bear Pub on Wembley High Road. The exhibition featuring works from international and home grown artists will be on show from Saturday 13 February until Saturday 13 March.
